Q: Every year I make a resolution to lose weight, but I never seem to stick to it. Are there any natural products to help me succeed?
A: The first thing that comes to mind when a patient has a hard time losing weight is thyroid health. If you have an underactive thyroid, it can be very difficult to lose weight even if you are watching your diet and exercising. Low thyroid function can decrease your metabolism. Weight loss is a complex issue, and one pill or supplement may not be enough. You need to start with a good healthy diet rich in protein and fiber. Protein balances blood sugar levels and decreases cravings for carbohydrates and sweets. Fiber will help you feel fuller throughout the day. A great start to any lifestyle change is a gentle cleanse in order to begin ridding the body of toxins. Renew Life Diet Start Cleanser has a formula which will cleanse the colon and help the body to burn more fat. Be sure to exercise daily, incorporating cardio and toning exercises using light weights. It is recommended that you consult your primary healthcare practitioner before beginning any exercise program.
